At Skaftafell Adventures, your safety is our top priority. We are committed to providing unforgettable experiences in Iceland’s breathtaking wilderness while ensuring that every guest feels secure, informed, and well-prepared for the journey ahead.

1. Respect the Power of Nature

The Icelandic landscape is beautiful but can be unpredictable. Weather can change rapidly, conditions demand constant awareness. Always follow your guide’s instructions, stay on designated paths, and never wander off on your own.

2. Listen to Your Guide

Our guides are certified professionals. They are here not only to lead you but to care for you. Please listen carefully to their safety briefings, stay with the group, and do not hesitate to ask questions or express concerns.

3. Dress Appropriately

Conditions can be cold, wet, and windy—even in summer.

Be sure you are wearing warm enough outdoor clothing and appropriate waterproof boots.

• Warm layers (wool or synthetic, not cotton)
• Sturdy waterproof boots.

We provide all necessary safety gear, including helmets, balaclava, insulated overall and gloves.

4. Physical Requirements

Some of our tours involve moderate physical activity.

Please ensure you are in suitable health and fitness for the tour you choose.

If you have any medical conditions or physical limitations, inform us in advance so we can guide you to the most appropriate experience.

5. Age Limits and Supervision

Minimum age limits for the tours is 10 years. Children must always be accompanied by a responsible adult.

6. Weather and Conditions Policy

Tours may be modified or cancelled due to adverse weather or unsafe conditions. In such cases, we offer alternative options when possible or provide a full refund. Your safety is never compromised.

7. Sustainable and Responsible Travel

Please help us protect this pristine environment. Do not litter, disturb wildlife, or remove natural features. By treading lightly, we ensure this land remains wild and beautiful for future generations.

8. Total weight

The combined weight of the driver and passenger on each bike can not exceed 260 kg.
